To connect to anything online, RD or other, you will need to subscribe to the multiplayer part yes.This is included 18 months with beta (6 mths beta, 12moths after), included in the price,, beta usage and game when released fully..

Lifetime membership price includes beta, game when released and lifetime multiplayer membership.

82.99 aussie dollars for me. I never played or even saw rF1 but i bought the rF2 beta with lifetime about 2 days ago based on talk and here say about it being a "real sim". I hope when i get time this weekend to play it its worth it!
