The second time I'll do a practice race before the main event. I hope it won't turn out the same way like it did, when I participated in a practice race the first time before the Silverstone race. Practice race was perfect - main event was a disaster. But I can't hide from racing in such a great place.
How many laps will we do each stint? 24 (= 30 min devided with 1:15:000)?
I'd like to add a little side note. Last saturday I had a great 5 lap sprint race with Gaetano and Nicholai. I was chasing Nico very close the whole 5 laps and I noticed that breaking after the tunnel in slip stream is extremely difficult. The decreased downforce and the tricky crest make the wheels lock very easily. And this effect will increase with race fuel and harder compounds. Outbraking on the inside will make it even harder, because the crest is bigger there which increases the risk of locked wheels again. I allready pray now, that it's not me, who pushes someone there.
btw Nico, you asked me if you've been "too wide" there. Definitely not!!! I can only ask everyone to be as wide as possible (in a fair way of course) even if you know the following car can drive quicker. This is Monaco! I'd never call it blocking, even if you defend the inside line of each corner.
Of course it's up to everyone himself to let a quicker car pass easily to lower the own risk and to stay in the rhythm. But please dare a little battle sometimes.
