Merc trouble

If Aston Martin's pace is real....and by all accounts...it looks to be, then Mercedes could find themselves slipping further down the order this season.
It could be left fighting for fourth or lower in the championship this season.
That'd be disastrous.
Lets hope they can get that car working to where George and Lewis can extract the maximum.
Looking forward to seeing what will happen tomorrow evening either way.

Well, their 2023 is done basically, the amount of pace deficit will not be recovered, they simply need to start from scratch again. Ferrari are a bit in the same boat, but for different reasons - it has better downforce than the Merc but is producing it while killing the tires. Ferrari says its all setup related but I dont believe that, I believe its a fundamental issue with the car design, specifically car suspension geometry that treats the tires wrong.
Aston has been doing great...in copying. They hired the former aero chief from Redbull and guess what he did? He made a green Redbull...

I just read that James Allison has been unleased to correct the car.
I was wondering how Mercedes had lost their way...turns out he had stepped away from the design role.
