Mapping rotary controls on Thrustmaster TX F1 wheel

I'd like to set the rotary knobs on this wheel to control e.g. brake bias or similar settings. Anecdotal evidence suggests it is possible to do this.

When I try to map them in game it just sits there saying "waiting for button" or whatever while I twist the knobs.

Is there some third party tool I need in order to achieve this?

i guess you need to check "advanced mode" in thrustmaster control panel (first page on the bottom)

You mean Ferrari F1 addon wheel? If so I have it and rotary switches works fine without any 3rd party programs. Try what was suggested by @Armor666
