According to the FIA's F1 World Championship Entry List (http://www.fia.com/2015-fia-f1-world-championship-entry-list-0) Lotus are shown as "Subject to Confirmation" along with Caterham and Manor F1.

This has me wondering whether there is a problem with Maldonado's PDVSA sponsorship? There were rumours earlier this year that the Venezuelan economy was not as strong as it could be - cutting a sponsorship that brings them very little benefit may be a valid cost-cutting exercise?

 Ouch. I hope we're not looking at a strong chance of a paltry 16-car grid here.

Low oil prices are smashing venezuela's economy, so I would not discard trouble.
