Lidar Scan of the Targa Florio 73

That's rights.
@Abulzz and team are doing a mind blowing Lidar Scan of the Targa Florio.
A ridiculous amount of time is being spent on what might be the biggest lidar attempt on a course this size.
If there is something bigger out there now or coming please let us know.
The TF threads are quite and is driving me crazy so I thought I would let you guys know what's going on.
This is an exciting time for patron supporters.
Will post any news here.

Here's the link to the free v0.1.0 alpha of the track from July 2021 for everybody who isn't aware. A lot of stuff has been added and improved since, so it's not completely representative, but it should still give anybody who's interested some insight into the magnificence of this track mod.

A local Targa Florio patron posted some real life video showing some of the turns going in the opposite direction at times.
The 73 is similar to the original rFactor TF.
So this lidar update should be a real treat.
Will be most realistic to date.

It's my favorite track in AC by far. Looking forward to the scanned version, but I also hope Abulzz will finish that last village which only has white textures. That is the only thing that shows me the track is not quite finished, for the rest it's gorgeous and such a blast to race on.

Not yet but I think they are trying for an update this month.
I guess it's painstakingly slow to convert the lidar scans but worth the wait.
No one is saying much on the TF 73 Discord.
Just trying to let them work.

The visuals certainly getting there, that's good!
A lidar version is the holy grail here.
It's a very time consuming process, I know... and I only worked on a small track.

Extremely doubtful they are "converting lidar scans". They are building on top.

If your cracked asphalt image is implying you'll feel that, also highly doubtful.
