Kazunori Yamauchi says GT5 release date will be announced soon

Discussion in 'Gran Turismo 5' started by Kevin Watts, Jun 28, 2009.

  1. In this interview with Autoweek.com says thats the release date for GT5 will be announced soon. I've been suggesting the release date will be announced at TGS for some time and perhaps this is when it will happen as its the next big show for the industry and on Sony's home ground.
  2. Yippee, it's rolling now :)

Isnt he talking about the PSP?
  4. Well Bram, the PSP version has a release date of Oct 1, and GT5 will be announced soon like he says in that interview. ;)
  5. No, from the article: "We will give the release date of the Gran Turismo 5 soon"
  6. I think the release date will be announced september the 25th. Or will be announced around that time at the Tokyo Game show. I hope they release it Early December and also include a price drop for the PS3. Then watch those Lean mean fat grilling machines fly of the shelves.
  7. I agree Adam, it's on my mind like that too...

    Fingers crossed eh.:act-up:
  8. Between this, Uncharted 2, MAG, Agent and MGS4, Sony have themselves a comfy couch within to sit.
  9. I am waiting impatiently
  10. When he said soon, did he mean a month?
  11. GTPlanet says they have a tentative release date from an unofficial but very reliable source that GT5 will see a 2009 release and that the Amazon.com date of the 29th of December is incorrect. They go on to speculate that rather than give a release date at this years Tokyo Game Show in September they could announce it sooner at Sony's press conference at the GamesCom Cologne on the 18th of August. The picture used alongside the article gives me hope we will see GT5 before Christmas!
  12. Awesome, thanks for the news Kevin :)

Ah! So they will be showing it in Cologne? Might take a look then
  14. A day away from Sony's press conference, hopefully we might hear something or maybe not lol
  15. Very curious indeed, conference starts at 18.00 in germany :)
  16. Let's hope it's less than 4,5 months away
  17. Sony's conference is over and it looks like the big announcement for Gamescom was the PS3 Slim at £299 so we may have to wait for the Tokyo Game Show - September 24th-27th for news on GT5
