Is the Camaro supposed to autoshift?

Even with everything disabled, the Camaro keeps shifting gears automatically (and not responding to manual gear shift, except reverse). This does not happen with other cars. Is that by design or just a bug?

I think the in game Camaro is automatic… If I remember well Renato said a manual version might come down the line.

That's what I do.
Does anybody know if there is transmission damage?
It seems to me that it's not working properly since I could change gears (driving the Camaro with manual clutch + h-shifter) without pressing the clutch on up- and downshifts and without getting any damage. All options are set up realistically (all aids off, damage on etc.).

Hmm, perhaps that auto transmission is "hardcoded" and autoclutch damage model is used even with manual clutch, got no idea.. I guess we have to wait for that manual version

I've driven it manually, but I've also had it change to automatic without me asking it to. All I did to fix it was go into the options menu and check the auto shift. Didn't have to touch it, but just going into the options seemed to fix it.

I'm pretty sure the Camaro is supposed to be manual.

I'm not sure if this is a proper fix as such, or whether I just got lucky, but seems to work.

nah Camaro Gen5 has both options auto and manual IRL ..
