Ideal position for a monitor when racing

I use a 23" widescreen monitor which is connected to my Xbox 360 for f1 2012 and I want to mount it on my wall in front of my home made wheel stand.

Is there an ideal height to mount it, eg eye level in line with the bottom third of the screen or in line with the middle of the screen?

Ideally I would think that the monitor center line should be at eye level so that the horizon line in the sim would be where it should be and you can keep your head in a natural position. A 23" screen is a bit small though for that distance, but everyone has their own preferences.

Do you mean too small in relation to the distance between seating position and screen jim?

As close to the rig as possible.
And slightly lower then eye to center line. So you look down a tiny tiny bit.

I am at work at the moment but at a rough guess it'll probably be about 30 inches between rig and screen mate

Well 30" isn't too bad, I was thinking it would be closer to 45 or so and that would make the image look really small hehe. As long as it works for you though, that is all that matters.

ok that´s fine, just as long as it´s as close as possible.
I run a little longer distance but i run 24´s so it works out ok,
when i do my rig i will put them right behind the wheel.
