How to mute in-game voice chat?

I am using Teamspeak for comms and don't want to use the ingame voice chat for online sessions. Where can this be disabled?
  2. not only this but the steam/settings/Audio / Microphone control is "windowed" controled, so even IF you mute this to stop you talking ingame, it also MUTES your Microphone for Teamspeak.

    any help is appreciated :)
  3. Muting other people also stops them from hearing you, but there's no microphone mute button for some stupid reason - so basically you have to mute all other players to mute yourself.

  4. Change the default device to another mic in the steam settings, so steam will not use yours. You need to mute everyone in game while in lobby, However once they are muted they will stay muted for future sessions, so for league racers this isn't a problem (even though all their mics are muted anyway)

  5. ok thanks guys, much appreciated, really disappointing in that department, but other then that im actually liking this game more and more :)
  6. Yeah it's annoying going to a pub and hearing kid's scream in the background.

Hope Steam will fix this, it's a Steam issue not a F1 2012 issue I think.
  7. CM have said they're looking into it. There's a couple of threads on their forums about it already.
