GT5 Gran Turismo 6: Ready for Christmas Release

Most fans might remember the horrible fate of Gran Turismo 5, being delayed again and again.

With news about it's successor, Gran Turismo 6, being released on a regular base it's always been a question if it might suffer from the same issues.

In a statement to MCV product manager Josh Walker now assured the community that the game will indeed be ready for a Christmas release.

There is no reason to think the proposed release window for GT6 will not be achieved. We feel it is important to continue to support our loyal PS3 users, and those from many parts of the world who are new to PS3, with a new title.

Gran Turismo has a huge following among current PS3 gamers. The release also follows a pattern for Gran Turismo – GT and GT2 for PS, GT3 and GT4 for PS2, and now GT5 and GT6 on PS3.

Gran Turismo 6: Ready for Christmas Release

I actually think GT6 will be ready for Christmas. The game is very similar to GT5 and one of the reasons why GT5 took so long was because of it being on a next generation console and them being too picky. However, because they spent so long on detail for GT5, they don't have to improve it that much for GT6.

Oh, one last thing. GT6 Logo is horrible. The number 6 isn't sharp and faces away from the 'Gran Turismo'. Just doesn't look right.
