Good drills for metal?

Does anyone know good drills that can go through metal that are not too expensive?

Stay away from the really cheap drills and go get some Cobalt tipped ones.
Aviall is a good source.
I believe all their bits are made by Greenfield Industries.
Years ago, I was doing a leading edge mod on a British Aerospace Hawker 800 and had to drill almost a third of the screws out.
I ordered some of those Cobalts and a spiral grinding tool to 'knockdown' the flutes from the coin-slot screws.
They made a 'world' of difference.

Sorry man!....I figured you were looking for the bits.
Any good consumer drill should do the 'trick'...unless you are working around fuel or volatile substances.
If that's the case, go get a good air-operated drill.
Mine are all Ingersoll-Rand...but Sunex makes a good one, which is quite a bit cheaper but very good.
On the cordless, battery-operated type, I've had great luck with Makita.

What are you drilling into? I just thrilled into my Rseat with a Black and Decker Cordless. It did the job but it's not super thick.
