no biggy, was always going to happen. The bit about OEMs not wanting Intel and AMD on the box made me chuckle. Looks like some minor win points for Intel there :D
  2. I'll miss it. Plus, I never heard of Firepro, and Radeon sounds awful (and it was also the name of a detergent here :D), and they are going to keep those and not ATI? Fail.
  3. Get buckled in for some Nvidia freezes. Nvermind, I thought alot of guys were running to ATI because the simbin games jst didnt like Nvidia chips.
  4. They're just dropping the name, not the cards.
  5. ah i see, I take it AMD wana stick there stuff all over it do they?

lol Adam did you even read it?

Havent had freezes since I dumped my 8800, still running nvida cards though.
  7. FirePro is pretty well known among professional business hardware. Those cards are made to compete with Nvidia's Quadro-cards. Both types are usually based on consumer cards but with some other firmware and drivers they're better for rendering stuff. Also support is much better, usually a broken card will be replaced the same day. That's why prices go up to €4000 or so..
