FOV formula & distance to place tv

Hi folks,
I'm about finished with a motion platform and need some advice.
I know I've seen an explanation / formula for this "somewhere.

I'll be using the RS1 with the T500 - and a hi-def 42" TV -
I need to know how far from steering wheel/or/ how far from the driving position that I need to place tv and what to set my fov in ac....

Your help would be appreciated.
