The FIA released the official
2013 Formula One entry list today after the deadline to pay the entry fee of at least 500.000$ passed yesterday. However, HRT was missing from the list since the team ultimately failed to mobilize funds in time. The team has recently been
put up for sale but Thesan Capital ultimately failed to find a new owner for the team.
In 2012 HRT set (at the Chinese Grand Prix) the unpleasant record of having the most starts in Formula One without having scored a single point and the 2012 season didn't end any better. After heaving beaten the 39 race "record" HRT is now standing at 57 races (55 starts) without having scored a single point.
On a brighter side, however, are reports about the 2013 German Grand Prix which is scheduled to be held at the infamous Nürburgring. After some agreements regarding the financial structure and the future of the track
have been made this week both the FOM & the management of the Nürburgring are optimistic it won't be necessary to host the German Grand Prix at the Hockenheimring for the second year in a row.
See you “soon” for the 2013 Formula One Australian Grand Prix and in the mean time there is enough to talk about to keep you warm during the winter months in our ongoing debates in the
F1 Forums.
