Just use the "magic wand" tool in Photoshop, and select the "grey" part. Then just copy all of it, and paste on a new layer. And bam, you have a mask

a) I dont have photoshop
b) that mask will not be that good
c) lots of details are not in the template if you do it like that
d) so small resolution... -> all details are horribl if i resize it
e) no layers
f) on that small resolution its hard to find the edges

a) i know how to paint with GIMP
b) yeah, the liverys are outstanding.... The Pontiac and Ford templates are worse to the Dodge and Chevys btw

d) its about the DEATILS not about that your pc cant handle it. if you resize it everythings is blurred and you cant properly can cut out the important details

And ive already made it to 2048. But i cant properly can cut out the details that i still want to ahve on the livery, also i have no shaders, there are numbers on the lights where i want to have different ones etc ect
