Entry level Logitech wheels still good for casual simracing?

Its been a year or so since i properly done some simracing and just curious is i was to buy a G29 or a 293 would they be sufficient for a casual simracer?
The last few years ive gone from leagues to just some fun with AI, i tend to come and go to the genre so nothing serious at all these days hence why im thinking just an entry level wheel.
DD is great and all but i cant see myself simracing enough to justify.
Would like to hear from users of G29 or the 293 etc.

You really don't need more to race and be competitive. G2something will do the job just fine!
