After 3 years of work, Enduracers and the Gentlemen Racers are happily releasing the 1st package of the Endurance Series mod for rFactor. It will give you the chance to simulate the best endurance racing experience ever seen in a video game. Cars from ALMS, LMS and the Le Mans 24hrs are scheduled for this mod. Audi vs Peugeot, Aston Martin vs Corvette, Porsche vs Ferrari...

For this important mod EnduRacers has chosen to work in packs. After the initial release including the mod base and first pack of cars, Enduracers will release frequent "Service Packs", adding new car models, sounds, physics and skins. That is why the mod can be classified as "evolutive" and will live and grow continuously after the initial v1.0 release.

Don't forget to read through the readme carefully, you will find a lot of important information in order to use the mod in the best possible way. Don't forget that the mod is very big, and that this is endurance. Don't judge it by doing 2 laps with 1 car, take your time to learn it and really appreciate it.

Personally i dont mind how long it takes before they release it, thats up to when the modmakers think they are ready.

However I am a little dissappointed as we have adjusted our league to make it possible to change cars, with as result that we cannot run a full season ranking. WIth a little more and better communication we could have avoided that and simple fix the car and class choices and run a full season's league with full results.

I have to agree with Ivo. At the rate they are going they will never get to service pack 6 as rFactor 1 will be irrelevant by then. Don't get me wrong, I prefer quality vs. quantity, but it's been nearly a year since the release of the mod and still no SP1 (or did I miss something).

Hi guys,

Just some answers to your comments. There is no 6 service packs sheduled, the menu work was just design, nothing else, and apparently a bad idea from us (we saw these comments on other forums too :) ). We're just creating cars and cars we like and adding them to the first pack when they are ready. You can have 2 SP's, but you can have 50 SP's.

Yes 1 year to create 6 cars can seems quite long for some of you, but remind it's not our job so we're not always fully available to work on the mod. The quality of the SP1 will be mutch better even then the v1 cars, and quality takes time.

Moreover, with rF2 coming in the future (even if no one knows when), be sure that we will keep closed eye on it, and if it becomes the new reference in terms of modding platform we will jump on it.

In addition, we're currently looking for a new full time 2d paints skinner. I saw several good quality paint shemes on your championship, so if some skilled people are interested they can contact me in private. Thanks.

Thx Marc!

Nobody can ask a mod group to do a hasty release just because we are impatient :) We know you guys have day jobs too and this is a hobby project that takes a lot of time. Big respect for that :doublethumb:

Looking forward to everything you guys will bring us !

Marc, I have a little problem.

I am currently working on Painting the rims of the 07ALMS_Intersport_Racing Creation CA06. This TEAM for the car uses the BBS rims, but it seems that when I try to save the .dds file, using an appropriate suffix, to apply the paint scheeme to the rim, it does not work. I have checked the .veh file to see how I should name the file, and it seems that for all the Creation teams it is the same "OZRIMS" :

DefaultLivery="Creation_060088.dds"
Extra0="WINDOW"
Extra1="COCKPIT"
Extra2="CARBON"
Extra5="WHEEL"
Extra8="OZRIMS"

Those lines are all the same in all the .veh files. The problem is that only the OZ rims can be painted for the Creation. When I try to apply the paint scheme to the BBS rims nothing happens at all.

So far as I know, this is only for the Creation CA06. Here you can see that my 997 skin with custom BBS rims works just fine.

(vid thanks to Bram)

If you could maybe explain why this is happening, I would greatly appreciate it.
