After 3 years of work, Enduracers and the Gentlemen Racers are happily releasing the 1st package of the Endurance Series mod for rFactor. It will give you the chance to simulate the best endurance racing experience ever seen in a video game. Cars from ALMS, LMS and the Le Mans 24hrs are scheduled for this mod. Audi vs Peugeot, Aston Martin vs Corvette, Porsche vs Ferrari...

For this important mod EnduRacers has chosen to work in packs. After the initial release including the mod base and first pack of cars, Enduracers will release frequent "Service Packs", adding new car models, sounds, physics and skins. That is why the mod can be classified as "evolutive" and will live and grow continuously after the initial v1.0 release.

Don't forget to read through the readme carefully, you will find a lot of important information in order to use the mod in the best possible way. Don't forget that the mod is very big, and that this is endurance. Don't judge it by doing 2 laps with 1 car, take your time to learn it and really appreciate it.

Known issues:
  • Random bug on led displaying in some cockpit(can be fixed with a reconnect in online mode).
  • Random bug with addition of a darker square in some motec cockpit(can be fixed with a reconnect in online mode).

Me Jamie and Ben ran a few laps last night and found that low and medium are perhaps the most realistic as with high you can floor it and it just sorts everything out for you. The main problem with running TC on rFactor is the TC isn't very realistic when compared with LFS for instance. I'd recommend we give the choice of low and medium in the league, but for the first few races allow high too while people get used to the cars.
 
Well after downloading and having a go for a few laps the news is two fold

I think this may be the prettiest and best puty together mod yet on RF, after the appalling debacle that was TDL, this is refreshing to be able to see a mod put together so well and with so much obvious input.

From a driving perspective I am not so sure. The Prototypes are lovely to drive, but as with many RF mods there is absolutely no warning at all when a car is going to slide from the rear. This is a common problem with RF mods and is a reason why I dont play the game so much

Not sure whether it is a noise problem? Maybe I need to change sound settings? But when I am in a turn pushing on the car will just let go with no prior through the FF or anything?

AS I say no reflection on the mod, this is a common isue in RF tarmac mods and seems to ahve been succesfully gotten rid of in shale type mods.

Can anyone share theie experiences with sound ro settings etc> Maybe I am missing something
 
But even with RealFeel, there's not much feedback for the rear of the car... I don't know... I really feel the rear when playing iRacing or GTR Evo, but can't feel in rFactor... Sure RealFeel helps a lot, a lot indeed, but it just don't solve the problem for me...
But I'm getting used to it again... :)
