EnduRacers: Aston Martin LMP1 in development

A remarkable screenshot of a LMP1 Aston Martin appeared on Facebook posted by the EnduRacers Modding Team. The car also known as the Lola-Aston Martin B09/60 is a Le Mans Prototype sports car built by Lola Cars International and co-developed with Prodrive for use by Aston Martin Racing.

It had a disappointing outing during the 24 hours of Le Mans 2010 where both Prodrive cars failed to survive the first stages of the race but impressed all the spectators around the circuit with its impressive engine sounds. For an impressive fly-by sample click here.



Its not yet known if this means that the mod for rFactor 1 that won two Mod of the Year awards here at RaceDepartment in 2009 and 2011 will be enriched with this new car as the team clearly stated that the car is indeed in development but that it doesn't mean it will be automatically made available for rFactor as the team can develop for any game and their next platform of choice is still unknown.

I certainly hope that Assetto Corsa will keep up to the hype the racing community is creating although the Kunos Team said that not all features will be included in the first release. So let's see what the tech demo and everything that follows will bring.

It would only make sense to release this car for rFactor, as none of the others currently are released, let alone suitable for endurance racing. Unless their timeline is somewhere in 2014, then there might be more choice.
