Does a GPU change count against activations?

Unfortunately, I have to send my card in for an RMA replacement. So, I will swap in an old card in the meantime then put in a new replacement later. Will those two GPU changes consume two activations or does it take more than one component change to trigger a re-activation?

I do not know how far a hardware change may interfere with the activation.
If there is the need to reinstall your operating system and consequently to reinstall the game, a new activation is required, otherwise, I think not.

I changed my GPU and it did not required reactivation.
