DK2 direct mode?

Dear all:

Today I've tried using DK2 direct mode in Assetto Corsa. After going into the game (already in the car), my main monitor which is a normal display shows the image with both left and right eyes, and the head tracking works perfectly too. However, my DK2 gear's LED light is orange, not blue, and there is no image in the DK2 display. Could you help me with this? Thanks a lot!

Don´t think there is direct mode in Assetto Corsa. You have to use the extended mode.

Very few games support direct mode, which is unfortunate. Especially Assetto Corsa which stubbornly insists on your Rift being your primary display too. And it's not always possible to mirror your main monitor on the rift either.

I have a couple of tips though if this is the case for you. If you grab Open Broadcaster Software you can set it up to capture your Rift monitor and preview the stream to see what's on that screen.

You can also use windows key + shift + arrows to move programs 1 monitor left/right, which should help get windows back to your monitors where they're more usable.

I've just bought a DK2, is it true in AC I won't be able to change the setup etc?

That is correct, yeah. Those menus haven't been adapted to the Rift, so they're skipped entirely. You just go straight to driving.
