Disappearing GUI using CM/ SOL

Hi everyone. I'm using CSP 1.39 (latest) and Sol 1.42. Sometimes the GUI is there so I can start the race, other times it isn't- though if you can guess where to hit the mouse it works. Any ideas? Most odd. BTW this happens regardles of SOL and CSP version

I notice on the screenshot a "Hotlap" session.
Which track is it here ?

I suppose that you know that most modded tracks are not working in a Hotlap or Time Attack session ?

Is the problem the same with a normal Quick Race or Race Weekend or even Practice?

Strangely enough you must set smoke to at least "minimum" and its (edit: should be) back to normal!
