Dakar 2015: Stage 3 (San Juan - Chilecito)

The Monster Energy team came out on top today with Orlando Terranova claiming the third stage of the Dakar Rally to Chilecito. Giniel de Villiers followed in second position driving his Toyota and Yazeed Alrajhi completed the podium of the cars category.

After three stages its Nassar Al-Attiyah leading the standings with South African ace De Villiers following closely.

In the motorbike category Red Bull's Matthias Walkner secured the win in front of team mate Marc Coma and Team HRC pilot Joan Barreda. The latter is also leading the overall motorbike standings after the stage in the Argentian province of La Rioja.

Sadly, polish motorbike driver, Michał Hernik, died during that stage. The cause of death is suspected to be dehydration.
