Carroll upbeat about his F1 chances

I'm totally rooting for this to happen!! 2010 could be like the late 80's earliy 90's, no one can argue that those were some of the best mix up's and battles in F1 history.

A1GP champion Adam Carroll remains confident that he will secure a race seat for the coming season.

The 27-year-old, who lead Ireland to the A1GP title earlier in the year, has previously stated that he has been approached by two teams regarding a 2010 berth and reports now suggest that Manor Motorsport is the Ulsterman's likely destination.

"We're in the middle of negotiations with one of the new teams coming into F1 and I'm hopeful of winning a drive and making the final step to the top of the sport," Carroll told the Belfast Telegraph.

Manor, who are expected to change their name to Virgin Racing later in the week, have already secured the services of former Toyota driver Timo Glock.
