F1 2010 Braking for pitstops

Good afternoon all. I have played on F1 for the 360 with a wheel for some time now and feel comfortable with everything in the game apart from my pitstops. Everything goes to plan through the pit entrance until i need the brake for the box, i feel as though i have no feeling of the brakes and sometimes feels as though the car is not slowing down. Does anyone else have this problem or am i just dooing something wrong?

It doesnt slow down as you are turning into the box. So brake before he turns, or just coast then brake
