Bob's Track Builder Site Import

Hi all,

I work for a circuit design company designing new circuits all over the world. As a design technique I Export the 3D center line of the circuit from CAD, using co-ordinates then import to Bob's Track Builder. I then will build all the terrain using this. I looked into the laser scanning, however this is for exsisting tracks. What I was wondering is, has anyone used this laser scanner software? If so, what file format does the data need to be in for Bob's Laser Scanner? Or has anyone already tried putting an entire 3D site from CAD into BTB and if so hope is this possible?

Any help would be greatly aprciated!

Doubt there's anyone here who has worked with laser scans, could be wrong.. I have no CAD experience but it should be possible using DAE or 3DS files, you need to split them first. I would go with 3DSimed when importing ready made large pieces, it's easier to get the splits to align perfectly. With BTB you need to do it manually and it never will be 100% in place.
