Kunos Simulazioni have released 3 new teaser images of the upcoming Japanese DLC for racing simulator Assetto Corsa.

Scheduled for release on May 18th, the Japanese DLC pack will contain a number of new vehicles from the land of the rising sun.

According to earlier blog posts from Kunos, the new pack could contain both the road and race version of the Mazda MX-5, the Mazda RX-7, the 2015 Nissan 370Z Nismo, the Nissan GT-R 34, the Toyota Supra in three versions, and the Toyota AE-86 in two versions.

Although Kunos also stated the first-generation Miata and the legendary Mazda 787B will be made available within the game at a future date, no indication regarding their inclusion in this new pack has been made.

The 3 new preview shots give us our first sight of a Toyota Supra and Nissan GTR which one must assume will form part of the new DLC package.

Previously mentioned licencing agreements with Toyota for the creation of Lemans challenger the TS040 could prove to be early indications of additional content in the new pack, but nothing official has be released by the studio.

New content is always good news for a racing simulator and Japan is well noted for its array of epic road and race cars, so lets keep our fingers crossed that this new DLC contains plenty of entertaining cars to keep us on the edge of our seats when it is release later this month.

While we await more news, lets do some speculating in the comments to keep ourselves amused...

Fingers crossed for a Mazda FD RX7....;)

All the mod one's I've come across either all look just wrong (I don't want a Fast and Furious version thanks very much) or handle like a wheelbarrow.

Nice apex, I'll take it! Staff Premium

If it's a paid for DLC without any race cars or new tracks, I'm not getting it. If it is just road cars, there's no chance I want this.

    From the Dev Diary.

We are glad to confirm that the Mazda brand has joined Assetto Corsa and will be represented by some of its most iconic models: the first-generation Miata and the brutal and awesome 787B will be added to Assetto Corsa as free updates later this year. The 2015 MX-5, MX-5 2015 Cup and the RX-7 will be part of the upcoming Assetto Corsa Japanese Pack, available on Steam by May 18th. The most-wanted pack, including a number of vehicles requested by the community, will feature the new Mazda MX-5 road/cup car, the RX-7, the 2015 Nissan 370Z Nismo, the Nissan GT-R 34, the Toyota Supra in three versions, and the Toyota AE-86 in two versions. The production team is working hard to complete the work on physics, graphics and sounds, with the aim to produce an unforgettable, massive Japanese pack to be crazy about. The same package will also be available on console after its launch.

No mention of the TS040 but fingers crossed....

  7. I would not expect P1 Toyota in this pack, it is not a logical choice, since those who like to race, might now want this cars besides TS040 and maybe MX-5 Club, so it makes no sense to force them to buy this pack for just one car. However my best guess is, we might get Toyota or Audi, or maybe both in July, when a new pack is being released that will contain RedBull ring.
  8. MX-5 2015 Cup (race car).

Not sure where they are with it, but the URD LMP1-H cars are fantastic and I was hoping they would do a version of the Toyota soon. I think they're working on the Nissan at the moment though.

I'd like to see the "RADBUL" mx-5 he had, with only 1000 hp to drift :)
  16. Yep, excited. Cant go wrong with some quality Jap cars. Hopefully some drift and tuned versions of those cars as well. Soon time to rule the streets! :)

Was hoping for more race cars but will probably get this anyway for the MX-5 Cup car.

Should be good but does this mean another pack this year with the Red Bull Ring or will it be a free track ala Black Cat Country? Can't imagine them passing that one out for free...

  20. Can't wait! Biggest thing I love about AC are the road cars.
I feel similar but just wish it was more popular publically. It's so dead besides the league races.
