Assetto Corsa 1.3
Physics

64-bit natively supported and car physics calculated on multi-thread. The physics engine has been reworked to become completely multithreaded: as a result, the driving precision is augmented, the accuracy further improved and the physics solver has enough horsepower to completely resolve any difficult calculations any speed, achieving butter smooth Force Feedback and complete elimination of signal noise and vibrations. We'll be back with more details on physics updates when the new build will be released next week.

Graphics
2D/3D models, textures and shaders have been updated and improved, in order to keep the standards reached with the latest content. Now windscreens receive shadows, and a new camera facing feature improves the rendering of 2D/3D objects on track. A first basic support for dynamic objects on tracks has been added as well, and it will be improved in future updates, with the aim to get a more immersive environment.

Sound
Fine tuning and improved algorithms for audio editing: all new cars benefit by use of new techniques of recording and sampling for engines, interiors and exhaust systems, also thanks to the technical cooperation of Akrapovic. This allows to recreate a more detailed audio trace and the exclusive detail of each car, improving the immersion while driving. Content that are available already in Assetto Corsa will be updated during the process, to bring them to a higher level of realism and in line with the latest quality standards.

Multiplayer
Dedicated server has been optimized in order to improve general stability.
New parameters and features have been added to server configuration, in order to please the requests of gamers who are looking for a more comprehensive online experience.

Get ready to experience the most advanced driving experience!

What do you mean by fast cars? Anything is fast compared to a Jeta TDI for example. If you refer to the race cars in the game, they are all 'fast'. If you're looking for GT3/2 action have a gander in the RD Racing Club, plenty of 'fast' cars there and plenty of 'fast' drivers, all respectful and very talented.

Your Denmark location should be good for the EU races and you'd help fill the grid.

If you're just looking to plug and play and beat a couple of AI at Monza without crashing in the first chicane and overtake 234982 cars then I get why AI is important for tose that dont have the time to sign up for an event.

However if you want to improve as a simracer and really hone your craft, then racing online with others is the only sure way to get there. AI simply will not behave as a human driver able to make decisions on the fly (ex. block lines when exit is compromised due to a mistake entering the corner, change pit strategy to cut the gap or overtake you in the pits). I race offline to test/create setups, improve track knowledge and push the limits before I enter a race to be better prepared and not hit ppl when I brake too late :p.

With the new update I'm confident we will see incremental improvements across the board, maybe not collosal but def changes in the right direction.

ON TOPIC: Any news on when this will actually drop? @Chris Stacey @Akis @Joao Alves
AC is slowly getting there and I'm happy to see slow improvement rather than none.
What he said...
fast cars, slow cars whatever
but decent human opponents will always beat ai
and you do learn a lot more racing humans than AI

Fast cars i like:

McLaren F1
Pagani Zonda R
Lotus 98T
Mazda 787b

Racing online with like-minded people is kinda like the gourmet pizza place down the road. It's freaking delicious, but it's expensive and 20 minutes away. My favorite, but I don't have it often due to the resources required, even though the satisfaction level is extremely high.

Good AI is kinda like Pizza Hut. It's right around the corner, cheap, and still pretty tasty. I have it often because fewer resources are required, yet it's still very satisfying.

AC's AI is kinda like Tombstone frozen pizza. It's really cheap, there's always one in my freezer, and technically it qualifies as pizza/food. Even though it requires the least resources of the three options I don't have it very often because the satisfaction level is below average.

I have room for all three kinds of pizza in my life, even if I'd prefer to just stick to the gourmet option and secretly hope that Tombstone will dramatically improve their quality. :)

No evidences pointed to 10 cars thus far and we are almost at the deadline day (I believe testing plus final touches go til' this Friday or next Monday) so yeah 7 cars + Barcelona.

Also since the P1 is from Great Britain, it's near certain that if it comes, it will come EOY (end of year) when most likely they'll release the Brands Hatch track.

Sad, I was hoping for these three cars, specialy the f138 since it's been teased. They said great things from Ferrari and Mclaren are coming, but they haven't announced anything yet.

Personally and that's my opinion, I am tired that we're getting so many road cars... I want racing cars !

So maybe cool Mclaren race cars, F1's and p1 GTR with Brands Hatch.

Maybe cool Ferrari race cars, F1's and FXXK with Maranello ? (I am surprised this track isn't something since they are tight with Ferrari).

Teased is one thing, but getting it fully working is another thing, also I get a feeling that if the F138 doesn't come now it will only come out whenever it is released to consoles next year.

But we are getting more racing cars: the R8 LMS (Ultra!), Huracan GT3 and the SCG-003 (the race car not the road eligible) are coming, the Mercedes-AMG GT3 (you guys forgot this little fella huh) will come out whenever Brands Hatch comes out (thus partially finishing the Blancpain car line up).

Both the LaFerrari FXXK and P1 GTR are track days cars (to front with the Zonda R).

Oddly Fiorano is not coming (it was on the Ferrari Virtual Academy, due to being a game exclusive with Ferrari branded cars, so it was a logical thing to be there), but I believe it will come out, because of the frendly relationship between the two companies. And out of this list for DP2, we are getting potentially 4 or 5 race cars (the three above + Ford GT40 Mk.I & RUF RT12R) and 4 road cars (M4, RT12R, GT40 Mk.I & Countach).

So we are getting a good balance of cars. No need to make a crossed eye to Kunos.

No no believe me I haven't forgotten the AMG GT3, GT3's are my favorite cars. I desperately need the new 650s gt3 and the new R8 lms.

Which one is coming in the DP2, the Huracan GT3 or the Huracan Super Trofeo ? because they announced both of them, so which one is coming 1st ?

Obviously I hope in 2016 the new Ferrari GT3 and the M6 GT3. Would be cool to also get the Bentley GT3. Well all GT3's :p, I am crazy for them.

The Huracan GT3, the same one used in Blancpain. I think the Ferrari 448 GT3 isn't coming next year because Ferrari already admitted that delivering this car with a GT3 spec engine and else would take at least 1.5-2 years of developing, so only in 2017 (if AC2 isn't announced yet :p). The M6 GT3 I think it will also take some time, because it's a newly released car and if it comes out, it will come out whenever it is released for the consoles. And the Bentley? well that is a question mark. The Super Trofeo should come later or as a part of the Huracan stock.

Good good, well if it comes out this month it will be a nice surprise.
