Are the Puma GTBs too overpowered in the Brazilian Touring Classics B Class?

Playing with the Passat, i did two runs: one was a practice run at Red Bull Ring short, i did a 1:05 and the Pumas did 1:03 laps. Doing another run, this time with the Força Livre cars, the GTBs lapped only one second or so slower than the worst cars in the upper class. Months later, i did a 30-minute race at Interlagos at a sim Racing shop near home. My fastest lap was a 2:06, but the Pumas managed 2:01 laps, even scratching the 2:00 mark in the end of the race. Was this done intentionally?
