F1 2012 Accelerating time issue

Hi to you all
Apologies if this has been raised already but I was unable to find anything that relates to this issue. I am unable to accelerate time using the equal key?. Pressing this key does nothing. Tried other keys but nothing!?Is there something I have missed here or a way to edit this key?
Would appreciate any help and advise on this please.
