AC - GT3RS judders on start/crash

As title, fanatic gt3rs has a problem in Assetto Corsa - when I crash on the nords doing laps, and then hit "restart" I get a bad juddering of the wheel before driving off again.
anyone know of a way to fix for this? setting ff/gain as 100% generally on wheel and in-game settings, tries lowering that but the problem is still there.

by the by - it's an issue with the nords; doesn't happen on any other track.
would report it on the ac forum, but they blocked my account because I wouldn't enter my steam password on their website. oh well.
