a little help with steep elevation smoothing

Discussion in 'Bob's Track Builder' started by tiger5181125, Dec 13, 2013.

  1. ive been making great tracks with this program for years but ive always had trouble getting completely smooth elevation changes , I usually manage to get it about right , but it can sometimes take hours and hours in the process of it. Im just looking for tips or if anyone has a quick method . Is it better to have more nodes or less , should i smooth the nodes for height and then smooth the control points etc
  2. You mean the track, or the enviroment?

  4. Also just to add to what @Erwin Greven has shown - if you want to leave the first and last nodes flat (in the end result they are angled), then before the "Smooth Selected Control Points - Height Only" step, select only the middle node rather than all 3.
