2013 Argentinian GP

Discussion in 'Formula 1' started by Hampus Andersson, May 17, 2012.

  1. Contract will be signed in May, if it´s already signed or will be i have no idea.

It will take the place of Korea GP starting 2013.

Possibly one of the coolest street courses with the peer.

I personally would have wanted Potrero de los Funes as it´s easily one of the most beautiful tracks in the world but i guess people won´t travel to the mountains to see F1 cars.

  2. Long straights with slight bends with loads of chicanes ? That looks Tilke'd

I have no idea if this track is good or not, still struggling to even understand anything about it. Looks like a piece of string which has been crafted into madness.

Oh Playboy layout on the beach, nice!

  4. Is that... somekind of tunnel behind the pits?

And yes, Potrero is badass. Bernie sadly not(Not to mention that Potrero might not have the facilties).

  5. I like Potrero, won my first TPS race there, in the wet :p

  6. Nice find. That just made it 10 times more interesting :)

I like the hairpin, somehow it reminds me of Long Beach with the fountain.

  7. Well if Mugello is too dangerous for F1 then Potrero will certainly be ;)

  8. One comment on that track is enough I think, zzz

Another rubbish track joining the F1 Calendar. It disgusts me that the likes of this and India are replacing brilliant circuits like Hockenheim and even Spa is being called into question.

    Bernie OUT!

New Hockenheim brilliant really? Don't you think the old layout was much cooler?

Both are great tracks. Better than half the current calendar anyway.

In fairness India is pretty good.

Driving til the wheels fall off

I predict some engine blow-ups on that Argentina track!
    Wayyy too much straight road!

  15. They should do a one-off for this track.

Everyone except the leader can use DRS, and they can use it anywhere.
it would be a complete battle till the end :)

  16. The last turn looks pretty good... hopefully an edge-of-adhesion corner.

  17. Okay, that part on the pier is pretty awesome. It will probably be hard to overtake on the pit-straight though, because of the high-downforce corner ahead of it. In my opinion, it would be better to run it counter-clockwise, but I guess that would be too dangerous (at T5).

  18. I hope this won't came alive, track is horrible. I actually like Korean track, it's much better than this.

  19. Problem is Korea can´t afford it. So you won´t have Korea either way unfortunately.

At least people might attend the Argentina race.
More than can be said for Korea.
