After ESL R1 revealed last week that Road Atlanta would be coming to Rennsport, another iconic American racetrack is coming as the host of the final Fall Season round.

New tracks in Rennsport are like buses. You wait about half a year for one new track, then two arrive at once. Yes, the sim is still not available to the wider public as it is still in beta. But the sim’s strides can be seen through the ESL R1 championship.
The platform’s public reveal during the first Rennsport Summit featured the Hockenheimring. Spa-Francorchamps and Nürburgring GP followed when R1 began, and then Monza was introduced in the R1 Major. Last week, Road Atlanta was revealed, and now they will be joined by Daytona.
The 3.56-mile road course uses most of the traditional NASCAR track, plus an infield section and chicane. A relatively simple layout, but it is a challenge that real world drivers and even sim racers relish every January. The 24-hour event was first held in 1966, and is part of the Triple Crown of endurance racing along with the 12 Hours of Sebring and 24 Hours of Le Mans.
With ESL R1 races being roughly 15 minutes in length, you can certainly imagine how frantic the races will be at Daytona. With all the flat out sections of track across the banking, there will certainly be NASCAR-esque pack racing.
Then you can watch the finals on the official ESL R1 Twitch and YouTube channels on 10 November at 6pm CET. The team’s championship will be on the line, with R8G Esports looking almost certain to win, enjoying a very strong lead over Porsche Coanda.

If you would like to follow the R1 action at Daytona, there will be streams on Thursday and Friday. Various community channels will broadcast the knockout races at 6pm CET on 9 November.
