Over the weekend, Straight4 Studios CEO Ian Bell took to X to announce both Sebring and Lime Rock Park for GTRevival in a rather playful way.

Ever since the beginning of the year, the newly created Straight4 Studios team has been firmly in the spotlight. Promising a game perfect for motorsport fans, GTRevival is rapidly approaching with WMD early access kicking off as early as this winter.

In recent weeks, more and more details have emerged about the upcoming sim concerning both features the team is aiming to include and content featuring at launch. Over the weekend, the company’s CEO Ian Bell took to the page formerly known as Twitter to playfully announce a pair of tracks bound for the sim.

Lime Rock Park, Sebring Coming to GTRevival

Indeed, utilising his showman persona, Bell teased fans with a selection of word games akin to crossword hints. Mentioning that he was announcing two new tracks for the game, he allowed his followers to guess at what circuits are coming. Those that guessed correctly will receive the early access version of GTRevival for free.

For the first circuit, Bell offered the original hint, “A four-time champion’s adornment.” With seemingly no-one catching on, the clues became somewhat easier starting out with, “F1 driver’s nickname, jewellery.” Finally, the game concluded when the final clue, “Multi-21 finish, finger band” gave it all away. ‘Seb’ from Sebastian Vettel and ‘Ring’ confirms Sebring to join Interlagos in GTRevival.

Next up, it seems the developer’s followers woke up for the second circuit. Indeed, just one hint sufficed for a trio of fans to guess correctly. “Makrut mineral” lead Infinity848 on X to immediately guess Lime Rock Park.

So there you have it. It seems GTRevival will see the Americas well-represented with Sebring, Lime Rock Park and Interlagos kicking off the track list. So far, we have seen the Audi R8 LMS GT3 Evo II in screenshots, though Bell has confirmed it will not feature in the game. However, the Lister Storm GT1 was announced last week whilst Group C machinery also features in a number of screenshots.

I don't disagree with either you or gamma123152, but I just don't want yet another discussion derailed by the usual anti IB rants.
I think you'd agree that it doesn't take much to trigger that.
Plus these are two of my favourite US tracks.

Well if that is what you really want why don't you PM them personally.
Impress upon these "types" they have just got their 1 warning.
After that bin them for a week. :coffee:

P.S.
Not trying to tell you how to do your job, just we all know children do not

Thanks for your comment. I'm actually a fan of this game, the screenshots/info look promising and the engine that Ian Bell produced for Automobilista 2 is amazing. No need to make personal insults here to me, solely because I made a comment about the fact that I'm wondering about their VR implementation and because that I think that RD/Overtake shouldn't jump on Ian Bell's marketing strategies. I have the right to have and express that opinion and the admin here is right that it was indeed offtopic(and so is your toxic comment that I now have to respond to). But there is no need to call people that you don't agree with "types" that should be banned, "childeren" and whatmore. Have a good day too.
Missed, that. That's GREAT news ! Now let's hope that they nail it and that it performs better than ACC.

Next on agenda:
- Time travel
- Teleportation
. . .
We understand that you don't like VR, you won't miss any opportunity to write it. May we politely ask why?
For example, I don't like single screens but I don't spend my time annoying people who don't have triple screens or VR headsets...
So please, with respect, why?

Sounds like its another ACC on the cards if they are struggling, guessing VR is a secondary project on this game, which is understandable due to VR user numbers.

I hope they aren't struggling with getting it running on a 4090, but i bet thats the case.

Saying that i actually like playing ACC on my 50 inch Bravia which is right in front of my wheel, it makes a nice change to the intensity of VR with AMS2 and the like.

Either way i reckon this title will be super polished and fun to play.
Many car simulation enthusiasts have a VR headset, such as triple screens, much more than standard players.

Not in this discussion please he has his own thread about it here
I don't understand why this is not the right place. Excuse me, but there are people who can afford to constantly write against VR, why couldn't we respond to them?
This person gives his opinion on Vr by making fun and this everywhere on the site, I do not agree with him, but if the moderators let him do it it is not up to me to do their job, I respect, but then I think I have the right to answer him politely.
If I can't do it here, where he writes, I think it's not democratic.
Now I speak English poorly and perhaps I misunderstood all of this person's mocking anti-Vr interventions.
Respectfully.

The trouble with you replying here is that it starts a dialogue that goes far from the actual article's topic and so many ones involving IB or a certain game engine end up fairly toxic.
Whereas the thread I pointed out to you covers what you want.

Correct it's not, but like most websites RD is a privately owned one with its own ToS.
My mistake was not removing his post which would have prevented this.

I know I'm responding to the off topic comment but I think it was more a constructive critic towards RD than a toxic one towards IB (who just does his job).

This tendency to publish articles which are just reposts without any additional value will become a big problem for RD in the long term.

Maybe a better presentation fully separating real news from reposts would help.

Not trying to launch an off-topic debate, just sharing some concerns about RD as, without its mods database, is just becoming an outdated twitter / X clone, relying more on its comments sections than on the quality of its content.

EDIT : not expecting any answer, it is more a message to RD.

My final reply on this.
RD is and was always about it's forums and it's discussion threads as well as a place for safe online racing.
The mods and other things are a very welcome surplus to that.
Like most of the internet things have changed in the past few years but I like to think that by comparison to the site you mentioned our toxicity levels are pretty low and although some of our members occasionally let their passions overcome them it still remains a good place for racing game discussion and debate.

Well, avoiding the real subject is a way to handle the things. Anyway, that's none of my business.

Back to the topic : Sebring is a very good idea for the title, it is a rare track in games' vanilla content. There is something magic about that track because its flat (no elevation changes) and simple but not easy to master design gives it a never boring flow. One of thevgreatest track for endurance racing imo. And a good match for the brutal good old Group C and GT cars.

Rare-ish... iRacing, rFactor2 and Forza Motorsports have it. iR and rF2 being ground scanned and Forza's... well.. who knows.

I'm much more of a fan of Lime Rock, excited to see it getting included, but if I had the choice, Road Atlanta instead of Sebring.

Yes, availability in 2 sims (one very expensive, the other with high priced dlc policy) is what I call "rare".
