For iRacing players who are into various types of car racing, there is a new series just for you! The brand new iRacing Weekly Challenge will appear on the schedule in Season 1 of 2024.

If you are part of the iRacing service and participate in one series, you may very rarely venture outside that bubble. Maybe you like GT cars, single seaters, touring cars or sports prototypes. But sometimes, it can be refreshing and fulfilling to try something new.
It would seem that iRacing are looking to accommodate those wanting to try something new. For the sim racing Jacks of all Trades, the Weekly Challenge will be starting during 2024 Season 1. In it, you can race a different type of car every week.
There will be ranked races occurring every hour, but a main race on Sunday at 9pm CET where one random top split participant can earn $5 in credits.
This is most likely an experiment by the iRacing team to see if the player numbers warrant such a series to continue. Which perhaps explains why a vast majority of the cars and tracks are in the base game, with very few needing to be purchased.
I will be looking to participate in this series when it gets underway. I would encourage many iRacing players to give it a shot, you may be surprised how much you enjoy racing all these unfamiliar types of car. It will dramatically help you improve as a driver, I am sure of it!"

Editor's Take: Luca
"The news of this brand new addition to the iRacing schedule is music to my ears. I have always believed in sim racing being a platform not just for players to race the one type of car at all times, but to race many varying types. Not to undermine anyone who is content racing just the one car, of course.I will be looking to participate in this series when it gets underway. I would encourage many iRacing players to give it a shot, you may be surprised how much you enjoy racing all these unfamiliar types of car. It will dramatically help you improve as a driver, I am sure of it!"
