The next addition for Assetto Corsa Competizione’s upcoming GT2 downloadable content has been unveiled, as Audi’s entry is showcased.

Yet another car has been showcased for Assetto Corsa Competizione’s upcoming car pack, and this time it’s the turn of the Audi R8 LMS GT2.

The racing version of the sports car has a mid-mounted 5.2-litre naturally aspirated V10 engine. It outputs 640 hp through a seven-speed dual-clutch gearbox.

This means that Ingolstadt’s finest joins two Porsches, the 935 (2019) and 911 GT2 RS CS EVO Kit, as both confirmed and showcased for Assetto Corsa Competizione’s new set of vehicles.

The GT2 Pack will be the first paid-for DLC since April’s 2023 GT World Challenge Pack – which included three GT3 vehicles plus Valencia’s Circuit Ricardo Tormo.

This latest DLC was first announced during the 24 Hours of Spa event in 2022 with a target release of this year. Back then, the following vehicles were confirmed by Kunos Co-Founder Marco Massarutto – although what arrives in the final group is still to be validated.

  1. Audi R8 LMS GT2
  2. Brabham BT63 GT2
  3. KTM X-BOW GT2
  4. Lamborghini Huracán Super Trofeo GT2
  5. Maserati MC20 GT2
  6. Mercedes-AMG GT2
  7. Porsche 911 GT2 RS Clubsport Evo and 935
No pricing has been announced yet for the GT2 Pack, nor if a new track will be included, but we expect a series of trailers and announcements in the run-up to its slated January 2024 release date.

The same is true of PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S availability – typically, developers Kunos Simulazioni release new content for PC before Untold Games then work on the console versions. We also await details of any quality-of-life changes that may, or may not, arrive at the same time.

It will launch ahead of a 2024-season pack that includes the much-requested Nürburgring Nordschleife layout. Meanwhile, the next all-new Assetto Corsa title is now expected in ‘summer 2024’.

What would you like to see from the upcoming GT2 DLC? Let us know in the comments below.

Hmm, im noticing alot of Kerb shots in this video, and certainly in the last one it looked very like what it should look like when a car attacks an inside kerb. This makes me quite excited as to what global physics updates will be rolling out along side this DLC

They certainly love a slow-mo kerb shot with the teasers so here's hoping!

The KTM, MC20 and Brabham were confirmed when the pack was announced in development way back in 2022 - although you never know with licencing if it's possible in the end. Hopefully!

Speaking of Kerbs(Curbs in the USofA). Isn't it funny that iR the granddaddy of current sims is just now getting 3d Curbs(Kerbs in Euroland)????

Making the Lamborghini would be a waste of time, the car is just a Super Trofeo spec car running on different BoP, both the "current" one and the previous model that competed in 2021.
Same goes for Ferrari, the 488 that did the inaugural race in 2021 and the last race of that same season is also just a Challenge car running on a different BoP so if they really wanted to, they could just make a new physics set for those 2 (or 3 if you count both generations of the Huracan ST) cars and call it a day.

Good point! I don't think the Ferrari is on the list for this pack at least (although let's see)

I've seen the brabham on GTC on Australia races but never on europe and never seen the mc20 on any races. Anyway we'll got the Mercedes AMG GT2 black series addon
