The cars from the GT2 European Series finally have a formal release date for ACC. Plus, it is earlier than expected, with the content arriving in January 2024.

There are plenty of new content releases on the horizon for Assetto Corsa Competizione players. Last month, the community erupted with joy when the Nordschleife was finally announced to be coming to the platform. But that was not the only new bit of content expected for ACC.

GT2 cars were announced all the way back in July 2022. These cars are more powerful but less aerodynamically-reliant than GT3 cars, with more of a focus on amateur driver competition. It was predicted that they would release alongside the Nordschleife in Spring, but as it turns out it will be much earlier than that.

The GT2 Car Pack will arrive on Assetto Corsa Competizione in January 2024, as shown in the teaser video above.

ACC GT2 Car Pack

The trailer shows the two Porsche brand cars that will arrive in the pack, the 935 and the 911 GT2 RS ClubSport. However, whilst not shown in the teaser, other cars that compete to the regulations are set to also come to ACC. These include GT2 versions of the Lamborghini Huracán, Audi R8 and Mercedes-AMG GT.

But there is set to also be a few bespoke vehicles like the KTM X-Bow GTX, Brabham BT63 and Maserati MC20. The 911 GT2 was spotted by a few eagle-eyed players when Nordschleife specialist Misha Charoudin revealed he had been driving the 25km track on ACC at Kunos HQ.

The confirmation of the GT2 cars coming earlier than expected may leave a bit of a sour taste to those eagerly awaiting the Nordschleife's addition. The 2024 GT World Challenge Pack is slated for a Spring release, expect April or May to be when you can drive the Nordschleife on ACC. It may even come with new for 2024 GT3 cars like the Corvette and Ford Mustang.

However, the GT2 cars are releasing first in January. Most likely not with any tracks, but even if they did, that will not include the Nordschleife.

Which GT2 car are you most looking forward to driving first on ACC?

I think I am looking forward to models that do not a have a GT3 counterpart, mostly the KTM and the Maserati if it makes the pack. I haven't seen the 935 in the IRL SRO GT2 entry lists, so we might get some unexpected cars maybe?
I must admit, that struck me as odd. It races in other series with the GT2 name, and actually is in the GT1 Sports Club which are essentially glorified trackdays that are held alongside actual SRO racing events.

Also I am fully with you on the cars that have no GT3 counterpart. I am personally looking forward to driving the X-Bow the most.

If you need all of that bloat on top of the game for it to be even remotely worth playing, it says more about the quality of the base product than the other way around.
Who cares about the quality of the base product? I would guess that 1% of people who buy Assetto do so for the vanilla game. The point thats being made is that with all those addons, its amazing. What kind of argument is that? Polls and surveys seem to disagree with you.

I mean, it would be cool to be able to simulate the all seasons including right cars and right tracks, intended that they sell the game on this main argument

I find it so sad that people forgot (or never experienced) what an amazing sim package AC was/is even before CSP. It adds a lot, yes, but without a solid base it would be nothing, or rather it would make no sense to develop it. Nowadays all the credit goes to CSP/Ilya and none to Kunos.

Oh I totally agree, I started playing several years ago. My argument pertains to Assetto presently. Dont take my statement the wrong way. Personally, I believe vanilla Assetto is great.

I know Kudos is a small team and can't produce things at a snap of a finger, but i think ACC needs more tracks rather than more cars. More American tracks and Australian tracks for more complete seasons. I don't play ACC much, this is only because of limited tracks. But big thumbs up on the continuous DLC's considering how busy they must be.
Yes, I was disappointed by the American track pack. The best tracks were missing (especially Road America).

I only use 99.99% of my time the vanilla content with CSP, it's all, I don't like crappy mods, ripped mods...

Most of the time I drive the vanilla content as well. Still trying to get all the Golden Glory Trophies from the challenges. Kunos did an amazing job here!
But there are gorgeous mods out there. Have you seen the VRC Formula Alpha? It's a blast.

Maybe you are right about the CSP weather simulation. Driving in the rain is non of my favorites and the most online races are in dry conditions. But I remember the last time I saw puddles on the wet line with less grip. Will double check.

Hopefully there are a few good GT2 LFM races after the DLC release to keep the content alive.

Exactly what Im saying. You use CSP. Vanilla would be just the game, without CSP +PURE/SOL. Im not advocating for low quality mods. I was speaking on the 3 previously stated mods. Not many people run the game without at least one of them.

Vanilla Assetto is different than Vanilla content.

I've opened the vanilla AC game once.. by accidentally clicking the play button in steam. Only ever used CSP, I've got like 2k hours in AC

you know the price of 2 DLCS = the price of 1 DLC + 1 DLC
Let's say the price that most people will pay/support for DLC is ~ £20. You could bundle it all in and get £20, or you could wait a few months and get another £20 from them. Business101

it's not how it works, Nordshleife DLC= 10€, GT2 DLC = 13€, both DLC = 23€
