The track now has 8 unique layouts; 5 for Trailbrake Park, and 3 for Rexton, with only one of the Rexton layouts being a reverse layout. (More can be added or provided on request)

This was the first thing I've ever made with RTB, it was supposed to just be as close as possible of a rendition of my hometown for A.C. But has become an 800+ hour passion project that I never expected to turn into a large and sprawling combination of real life, and a difficult fantasy racetrack.

I had this re-occurring dream as a kid of racing go-karts around Rexton, and it felt insanely real. I was like 7, I had never experienced that feeling of speed before. And it stuck with me for years. Cut to the pandemic and I'm stuck at home, with a VR headset and a racing wheel, marveling over how it felt, and one night I remembered the dream again, and an idea hit me. So I started googling, and it lead me down a rabbit hole with RTB, Blender, and KSeditor. (which has eventually led to 3D printing, and learning Unity as well)

So armed with a fresh idea, and with very limited resources in RTB, I tried to re-create Rexton as close as I could using generic objects. I put a lot of days and nights into this map, for some reason. I'm actually really proud of it, a lot of the bumps are modeled after real life potholes, trees are as close as I could get to the real size and shapes using just a few of the same objects, meticulously compared to Google Earth. Everything should be the right shape, in the right place. Even if it doesn't look the same. It was a lot of work, and I think it's finally okay enough to share.

Around the time Rexton was about 90% done, I was ready to work on something different; a big flowing racetrack. Basically the opposite of what I had been building up to that point. But for some reason instead of starting a new map file, I made a (temporary) bridge where the real one should be, and built a large multi-layout fictional racetrack on the other side of the river, called Trailbrake Park.

Rexton is a small village, located in New Brunswick, Canada. It's population has hovered around 900 for the last decade. Not much to do, honestly. But very pretty in the summer. Invaded Settled by the English in 1790.

Trailbrake Park is a fast, hectic, un-safe, possibly haunted, and fun(?) circuit complex that was originally built in the early 2000s. Said to take inspiration from classics like; The Nordschleife, Spa, and Suzuka. It was initially funded by a particularly controversial local oil company(Irving/Circle K), and the track suspiciously earned a Grade 1 certification despite questionable safety standards. After consecutive accidents on the classic GP circuit, resulting in deaths in multiple series, the track was demoted to Grade 3, before it officially got to see Formula 1. In 2008, a new GP circuit was built to replace the old forest layout, in an attempt to raise the rating to 2. Incorporating old sections of the forest circuit, and with the amount of close calls in the last sector, whether it's safer or not is still up for debate. It's favourite food is tires.
