NAMeS: Real Drivers for AMS2 v4.70

Reiza's quasi-fictional drivers for the G40 Cup were originally derived from the 2021 Ginetta Junior Championship, which only features a 100-hp variant of the G40. To correctly match the 140-hp G40 Cup vehicle from the sim, this new G40 Cup custom-AI file features drivers from the 2018 Ginetta G40 Cup.

Note: The original, NAMeS-matched G40 Cup file (featuring real conversions of Reiza's 2021 Ginetta Junior Championship drivers) has been moved to the NAMeS+AI folder.

To avoid having to insert custom attributes, I took the additional effort to match the 2018 Cup drivers to the same championship standing order as Reiza's "Junior" drivers. This way, the best driver from Reiza's 2021 list matches up with the best driver in the 2018 standings, down to the final entrant. I rather like the results, so I'll probably end up applying the same methodology--where appropriate--to a few other files that lack NAMeS scores. There is no such thing as the perfect lap, after all....
Today's updated file is no more than a renamed v4.52 file that includes a "0 -" prefix in the archive title. Besides preventing unintentional AI-file/livery file mismatch errors when activating long lists of mods, this little "0-" prefix designation essentially forces the NAMeS philosophy upon the community: That is, install NAMeS first, then go and install any other mod you want after that. This way, all of the awesome @AFry liverysets and @jusk AI files will show up in AMS2 when you launch the sim, and the leftover NAMeS files will happily fill in any gaps that remain.

One day, there may not be a need for NAMeS ... but that day is not today.

Thanks to @TomJayTea for the helpful reminder to finally upload a such a version. Blame me for the hyperbole.

In response to a recent update from Reiza, NAMeS v4.51 now includes a names-matched P1Gen2 file, with at least 16/17 drivers matched to 2022 Império Endurance Brasil. There is no driver/engine matching as in the Gen1 P1 category, as the Chevrolet engine is ubiquitous in 2022.

Note: There will likely be a further revision to this particular file based on pending updates from Reiza leading to the V1.5 RC.
Now that the AMS2 V1.5 Beta is media friendly, NAMeS V4.5 is available for download. Get it now, and be ready for the imminent V1.5 Release Candidate. NAMeS V4.5 contains the following updates:

Four new files with real drivers:

RX: 2022 FIA Rallycross (15/16 names matched)
F-Dirt: 2022 Brasileiro de Autocross (19/20 names matched)
KartCross: 2022-23 FIA Autocross - Cross Car & RallyX Nordic - CrossCar/Crosskart
(20/20 names matched)
P1Gen2: 2022 Império Endurance Brasil (no NAMeS score, as early version of this category contains Reiza Backers)

Two updated files: P1 & Hypercars

The original P1 file has been mildy revised to ensure that all drivers match up, as best as possible, with Metalmoro AJR engine configuration (e.g., Chevrolet vs. Honda vs. Nissan). The fictional, Judd-powered AJR features drivers who raced the AJR-Chevrolet, which is the most common engine choice.

Hypercars: This file has been updated to remove an errant “#” that was in the initial version of Reiza’s BT62 livery names. Some of the hypercar drivers were also driving the wrong vehicles; this has also been fixed.
Names v4.4 includes 5 updated custom-AI files for all Kart categories:

Superkart: 2019 CIK-FIA European Superkart Championship
KartShifter: 2017 CIK-FIA World Championship - KZ
Kart125cc: 2018 Brasiliero de Kart - Internacional OK
KartGX390: 2017 12 Horas Webmotors de Kart São Paulo
KartRental: 2017 Rental Karts at Kartódromo Granja Viana

All drivers are now appropriately matched by kart class specifications (e.g., 250cc vs. 125cc vs. GX390, etc.). Also, as these files all replicate actual championships or events, alternative NAMeS+AI files have been included with ranked attributes (located in the NAMeS+AI folder).

FWIW, NAMeS files for the upcoming Adrenaline DLC have already been generated. They will be released with the V1.5 Release Candidate. Also, feel free to peruse the AMS2 Mod Registry, as there might be a mod or utility for AMS2 that escaped your notice.

NAMeS v4.3i includes an expanded F-USA 2023 file due to the additional liveries that were recently added by Reiza.
AMS2CM compliant; no new files. See previous notes, below.
NAMeS v4.3h includes a folder named "FIA Historic." Given the number of modern circuits in AMS2, it seemed reasonable to provide alternative files for the new Formula Junior, as well as the two 60s touring car categories. Anyone who would rather race against 2022 Lurani Cup entrants in Formula Junior or 2021/22 Goodwood Revival entrants in Minis or Corvettes can now do so, rather than race exclusively against period drivers. Just manually copy any of the alternates as needed.

I won't be providing FIA Historic files for every category, but these three in particular seemed fitting for such treatment.
Formula Junior is 100% name-matched to historic late 1950s and early 1960s Formula Junior drivers.

Formula USA 2023 cannot be name matched, so I did my best to match drivers to the default liveries. It will need additional fine tuning at some point, but it is already a big improvement over the fictional names.

The archive file has been tested with AMS2CM and works great.
1 livery name out of almost 2000 had an extra space after it. Now that is fixed, too.
NAMeS v4.3 corrects various minor errors, such as an extra space at the end of a driver name or some unrecognized character appearing between the first and last name in Notepad++. Although these minor formatting errors did not appear to cause any problems in the sim itself, they have all been removed, and all files visually inspected afterwards, to ensure the highest level of quality.

Also, the alternative, NAMeS+AI files (available for ARC Camaro, most Caterhams, F3, and F-Trainers), for those users who utilize default liveries, have all been recalculated based on experience gained from my NAMeS+AI 4Mods series. Expect better AI performance if you use these files compared to earlier iterations.
NAMeS v4.21 fixes a naming error in F-Classic Gen 4 class:

Reiza's "Erik Dalmas" was initially converted into Yannick Dalmas (F1 1990) rather than Érik Comas (F1 1991) prior to the advent of the Gen 4 class. The new file corrects this issue, as Gen 3 is now exclusively 1990 and Gen 4 exclusively 1991.

I only realized the Dalmas/Comas error while creating a set of files that would combine Afry's Gen 3 1991 livery set, jusk's expanded F1 1991 custom-AI file & mungopark's MP4/6 skins into a unified Gen 4 package. I also added the driver suits (no helmets) by k5kelen50 into the conversion. Anyone who wants these F1 1991 Gen3-to-Gen4 conversion files can get them here.

By the way, this particular conversion may be the shortest-lived AMS2 mod ever, as AFry & Co. are close to releasing a new, dedicated Gen 4 package (with helmets, new AI file, etc.) "soon".

Also, The NAMeS Project started one year ago today.

NAMeS v 4.2 includes a file for the Stock Car Pro Series 2023 added to AMS2 V1.4.7.

This new file, StockCarV8_2023.xml, only adds Portuguese diacritics where needed, as the real driver names (without diacritics) are activated by Reiza by default.
Welcome to NAMeS v4.1d--the latest battle in the war between sub-par Quality Control and Persistance! [See the notes for v4.1, below, for most recent updates to Caterhams].

Cat_Supersport needed a nationality fix, too. Annoying? Yes. Worth it? Race the Supersport at Silverstone International for your answer....
NAMeS v4.1c includes an updated Cat620R file to correct 1 erroneous nationality.
NAMeS v4.1 includes three updated Caterham files: Cat_Supersport, Cat_Superlight, & Cat620R. Supersport and Superlight categories feature respective 2015 Caterham Championship series drivers who better align with the previous-generation Caterhams in AMS2. 620R drivers are now selected from Caterham F1 team and Development Driver Program ranks.

Updated Caterham information has been added to the Overview page. In brief, ignore most of the dashboard labels in AMS2, as the sim features the Automobilista-era Academy, Supersport, Superlight R300-S, and 620R. Caterham badging and/or engine-spec inconsistency in AMS2 simply stems from confusing the various permutations between road vs. race-spec and “S” vs. “non-S” Supersports and Superlights. These issues are now rectified in NAMeS v4.1.
NAMeS v4.0 includes a file for the new Formula Inter series. Similar to the Stock Car Brasil categories, Reiza's Formula Inter roster already includes real driver names by default; consequently, the NAMeS file only adds Portuguese diacritics to driver names where necessary. Note: as I could not confirm that simracer Michael Duwe actually drove in Formula Inter along with the other drivers listed, I substituted Carlos Eduardo Bruza in his place (i.e., NAMeS score = 20/21). If I am in error about this, I'll amend the file accordingly.
I spotted a small naming error while compiling a custom-AI file for F_B's 70's C3-R vs RSR livery set for AMS2, so I thought I ought to fix it here, too:

TC70S has been updated to reunite Tony's De with his Lorenzo.
TC60S2.xml had one misspelled ISO country code and was displaying a wrong nationality flag. It's fixed.

To summarize, NAMes v3.6 through v3.9a updates include revised CopaB, CopaFL, Fusca, Hot Cars, P4, GTOpen, Mini Challenge & TC60S2.

My apologies for the slew of recent updates ... NAMeS 4.0 won't drop until Reiza releases more content.
