after yesterdays release of the relatively complicated Larbre skin, today the Freisinger #49. The car competed in the 1994 BPR season and the livery was used for the Jarama 4H race, where the car was driven by the Italian drivers Luigino Pagotto and Renato Mastropietro. The car was entered in the GT3 category and finished 7th overall.
This car is a prime example of how different GT racing must have been in the early 90's. Freisinger did have a crash in one of the trainig sessions, thats why the car started the race with a black right replacement fender. They did not have a lot of sponsors, so they just put their own name all over the car. As they wanted to cut down the costs even further, they used cut-outs of the windshield sticker all over the vehicle. Even if there were weeks in between the last IMSA race and the 2nd BPR race, the car was branded with IMSA stickers
I wanted to recreate the car as closely to real life as possible. First I only had the usual side picture .... until I found a BPR 94 season review video where I could spot the car front....
The real life side photo can be found on racingsportscars.com and is courtesy of Fernando Doménech.
The video can be found on youtube under
it is a must watch
The skin is for the shokeus "porsche_964_rsr".
The car can be found via google looking for "assetto Corsa porsche-911-964-carrera-rsr-3-8"
I hope you like it.
Have fun
Daniel
