Hi all, after quite a few years of building Amateur tracks based on real Rally New Zealand special stages, using BTB and Zaxxon's method I decided to pack them together to create a complete Rally event
The other big motivator was after COVID caused the cancellation of Rally New Zealand this year, something had to be done
Please note: the tracks are Amateur and are not perfect or professional by any means, they do give a sense of the types of stages Rally New Zealand is famous for.
The event consists of a total of 257.62 km over three days, 15 special stages in total. Stage lengths vary from 5.06km to 32.10km.
Rally itinerary is as follows:
Leg 1, Friday, 75.17km:
9am, SS1, Shakedown, 5.06km
11am, SS2, Brooks, 13.60km
12:30, Service A
2pm, SS3, Cassidy, 22.2km
4pm, SS4, Waipu Gorge, 11.09km
5:30pm, Service B
6pm, SS5 Mititai, 23.22km
Leg 2, Saturday, 46.40km:
9am, SS6, Waipu Gorge Reversed, 11.1km
11am, SS7, Cassidy Reversed, 22.2km
12:30, Service C
2pm, SS8 Brooks Reversed, 13.6km
4pm, SS9 Shakedown Reversed, 5.06km
5:30pm, Service D
6pm, SS10, Mititai Reversed 23.22km
Leg 3, Sunday, 107.27km:
7am, SS11, Te Akau, 32.1km
9am, SS12, Maungatawhiri, 6.7km
11am, Service E
12noon, SS13, Whaanga Coast, 29.67km
1pm, Service F
2pm, SS14, Te Akau Reversed, 32.1km
4pm, Service G
6pm, SS15, Maungatawhiri Reversed, 6.7km (Power Stage)
All tracks can be found here, either as a complete event or individual stages:
Rally NZ via OneDrive
If it is of any interest, my best total time to date for the event is 2 hours, 46 minutes and 32 seconds.
(Not repeating stages to improve time and running realistic damage).
Cheers, AJ.
