Following the initial game announcement, further details have been unveiled about F1 Manager 2024’s Create-A-Team mode.

F1 Manager 2024 is set to include a feature many players of the past two games have requested – being able to create a fictional, 11th, Formula 1 team.

The new Create A Team mode should enable just that, and further specifics have been confirmed with regard to the native livery editing capabilities.

Work-in-progress footage showcases the changing of colours within two different templated designs, with gradient options available alongside the palette of colours. Differing wheel covers were also highlighted.

While this will become your outfit’s main design, the ability to create ‘one-off’ liveries for specific races – think Ferrari’s design at Monza last season, for example – will be possible.

Selecting from a range of fictional sponsors, their logos can be scaled, moved, rotated and colour-edited.

There will be over 50 to select from, and they can be added not just to your car, but also to driver suits and crash helmets. Team colours will also be represented on the team’s garage and pit gantry during a race weekend.

"You can choose from real drivers, like Max and Lewis in your team together if you want to go all-out... [Or] dip into F2 and F3 for your drivers, or if you want to go full fantasy, use generated drivers and staff as well," said Stuart Warren, Executive Producer on the title.

New Sponsor System

The aforementioned partners (50) are supposedly not just for show, either, as there is a brand new sponsorship mechanic, in both the regular career mode and Create A Team.

"You will negotiate with your sponsor's [which] activities that your drivers may undertake and they need to fulfil," explained Warren.

Further Gameplay Details Next Month

Today’s news will be followed by further details on 24th April about the granular management changes expected within F1 Manager 2024, such as mechanical failures and further details on the sponsor system, plus a revealing of an “as-yet-unseen part of the Create A Team mode.”

A release date is yet to be confirmed, currently slated for ‘summer’ of this year for PC, PlayStation and Xbox.
