Quite an eventful race to say the least.
Just scraped P2 in quali ahead of my great rival Gavos2base.
My cunning plan was to simply sit on Steves gearbox for a lap or 5 and wait till he took a barrier (mindful of his somewhat abbreviated race one season which ended in St Devote opn lap 1).
My plan was looking shaky when said gearbox was about 20 sec up the road after about 6 laps.

It was a 52 lap wait for steve to Auger in.
Meantime I had 3 front wings and 2 drive throughs. (thats what pressure can do steve).
3 safety cars kept me in touch and the podium was all within 1 sec after 1 hr 12 mins racing.

Now steve. I will be up for a 100% BUT. Get practising with manual gears buddy as now you are 1 min faster over race distance its time to get in the nude. No asists or no race!

David O'Reilly -- David, when are you available for a 100% no assist race. When you say, the rest will follow...... Midweek, a weekend etc, Bearing in mind we have Montreal in a weeks time which is quite tame to Monaco. So I am with ya buddy. Grueling but wow.. a hell of a race. I can organise...
