I don't have throttle or brake controls on my wheel. I'd race with control pad if I could, but I've tried it before and I'd just be a hazard. Not worth the risk of ruining people's races when we have full damage enabled.

I was just kidding! I totally get why you wouldn't want to hurt yourself even more whilst driving either. I frequently skip races if I'm too tired after all.

tbh the risk of ruining other people's races with full damage was fairly low. The real risk was running wide on some of the kerbs and taking full suspension damage, which is honestly the best track-cut prevention thing I've ever seen in a simracing game. It was fun! Thanks for organizing it :)

Yeh you missed a good one Ross! Enjoyed racing with Jos in both races. It's funny you only need one other person who is roughly the same speed as you to have fun.

Sorry again for the end of Race 2 SK!

As an aside, anyone find the start of race 2 really glitchy? I didn't actually see the lights go out - just lots of cars disappearing over the track and flashing back on again.

And yeh - Roberto - it was a super bumpy track. A really tricky one to start on. Should be smoother next week!

The start of race 2 wasn't the best! I was right behind you. From my view, your car disappeared right at the start and then reappeared stationary about a metre in front of me a second or so later. I'm afraid I couldn't do much to avoid bumping into the back of you. You flashed in and out of existence a couple of times on the first lap of that race, so I'm guessing there were some connection issues.

Was a good fun evening of racing, although I am no good in fwd touring cars. More practice required before next week!

Yeah I know that, but I was serious about racing on control pad if it was "safe". It's just too twitchy though. I know some people are very precise, but I never use them for racing sims so I'm all over the place. I find throttle control next to impossible with such a tiny range of movement, let alone braking and smooth cornering.

I'm just PO'd at having to miss the race, because I've always been a fan of the WTCR class, Imola is one of my favourite tracks, and any club regular will tell you that I've been wanting to run a league with these damn things since the day they were released.

In case anyone is wondering, the three guys on 20 points were first sorted by results, and since that didn't fully separate them, by fastest lap time.

These events remain open to drivers of all levels, so please don't be afraid to sign up! Details of the calendar are as follows:

25/07/20 - Rounds 1 & 2: Imola - Grand Prix
01/08/20 - Rounds 3 & 4: Hockenheimring - Grand Prix
08/08/20 - Rounds 5 & 6: Nürburgring - Short
15/08/20 - Rounds 7 & 8: Hungaroring - Grand Prix
22/08/20 - Rounds 9 & 10: Zandvoort - Grand Prix

Before you sign up, please be aware of the following:

1) Participation in all events in the series is not mandatory. You can sign up or not, as you please.

2) If you sign up for an event then you are expected to finish both races. It's just good sportsmanship and shows respect to your fellow drivers.

3) Points will be awarded for each race and tracked over the series, but there are no prizes. It's just for fun.

4) Every driver should try to use a unique livery. Please state your chosen car & number when you sign up.

5) Full damage will be enabled, which includes the flat-spotting of tyres.

6) Our regular club rules are still in effect. The Golden Rule absolutely still applies to these events.

@Goffik is this only for TCR 2019? Is there a difference i physics with 2018, as I don't own 2019. :(
They're the same. However, I'm not opening up the series to the 2018s because that would turn it into a multi-class race. That potentially causes issues with HUD position indicators, relative timings, and results. It's just not worth the hassle, especially for such a small grid.

Remember that you don't need to buy the whole class to take part. You only need the car you want to drive, which costs about £3.62.
