WTCR Coming to RaceRoom, Audi RS 3 LMS TCR Now Available

RaceRoom Racing Experience are bringing the new 2018 FIA WTCR series to the simulation, starting with the Audi Sport RS 3 LMS TCR... and a competition...

Many touring car fans see the still relatively young TCR regulation rule set as the next big thing in tin top racing, having watched the regulations grow from a single European series into one of the widest spread and most popular forms of touring cars since the heady heights of the SuperTouring era back in the early 1990s. Having spread to seemingly every corner of the globe with various national championships popping up almost monthly, the FIA have seen the potential of the regulations and adopted the TCR rule set to the newly launched World Championship series for 2018, replacing the rapidly declining World Touring Car Championship with the new WTCR World Touring Car Cup series.

Having enjoyed a strong and long lasting relationship with the WTCC for many years, Sector3 Studios and the RaceRoom Racing Experience simulation have confirmed WTCR 2018 will be heading to the sim soon, with the stunning Audi RS 3 LMS TCR already available to drive in game. To celebrate what Sector3 are calling a WTCR 'Prologue', the Swedish studio have launched a new official WTCR eSport championship using the new Audi, with a change to win cash prizes and race against real WTCR drivers! The Audi RS 3 LMS TCR is available in game now as part of the WTCR eSport Prolouge series in game.

I dunno... those small cars...

They are usually fun, but maybe something more raw and powerful would be interesting. Like a Group 5 or Group C revival of some kind. At least in spirit.

really enjoyed watching tcr last year with a lot of door to door racing. Was hoping to see this series in a sim some day.

Group 5 is already in Raceroom. Group C is not, but I still have hope. Hopefully the Porsche 962 is one of the 6 Porsches still to come to the game...

For now you can only drive it in "Competition mode" as a prologue to the official launch on May 10th

No, you can't. The title is kinda misleading. For now, it is only driveable as part of the competition, and you have to pay 199 vRP to enter the competition.

Cant wait to drive TCR Cars in R3E. Watched them twice in Oschersleben last year: TCR Germany and International and it was goood fun. Also visiting TCR again in two weaks.

I thought the online leaderboard competition was free of charge? Saw Georg Ortners stream yesterday and was intrigued to have a go at the TCR Audi myself. If it turns out to be a paid event I would be rather disappointed.

Some of the competitions are now paid (usually those that offer big prizes) or you have to own the car/track to be eligible to enter. They've only started doing this fairly recently.

Though, to be fair, the entry fee for this one is 2 euro, basically.

I already tried the car and the really nailed the sound again. Comes really close to what it sounded when I saw the car live. Can´t wait to have the series in the game!

Nice. I don't like FWD cars, but i am really looking forward to this license. I hope they include really all cars that are participating and all tracks, because the diversity is whats special in the series.

Can't wait for RD club races with this series @Ross Garland . That said, to keep it real, you really have to ditch some rules (e.g. golden rule, cut penalty..) for it
