at noon i practise with ross on this track, its a nice track but my first opinion was, "What a strange track", but when i learned it was fun, we got some nice battles

with no practise before the race i qualied me on the 11th place, i was quit happy.

got a good start, first corner P8, sry for the beamer, we rode with 3 side by side in the slowest corner of the circuit, the beamer rode in te midle, he spin, sry. And anybody with an audi wrecked my car, suspenion broked.

And i did a rolover :)

serveral laps i got good fights, P6. 18 lap a lot of people go to the pit, i decide to go to the pits on lap 21, that was the best desisioin, my tyres where burned, i repaired al my demage and with new tires i rode on place 8th (i think it). Had some good fights with roy stevens and enough anybody. I managed to pas they and i rode to the finish on P6, just behind my teammate, ross

i think i wonned a lot of places because my pitstop

@Herwin Ploeg: yeah, that was fun

Practise:

Had a blast with Christophe earlier in the day to learn the track :)

Qually:

I used Gary Lennons wonder set-up (Thanks mate!) I had a scrappy lap 1:02:0 but it was good enough for 8th on the grid.

Race:

Got a good start for FWD and was up to 4th around turn 1. Although I got punted by someone and got suspension damage :( I soon was into 3rd as Erik Ahlen went wide into turn 2. I was then 2nd as Mark Guy locked up in turn 5 trying to pass Marty Pierce for the lead. I closed in on Marty and was looking for the pass, but then I saw Erik in my mirrors. I didnt put on much of a fight as he passed me where I passed him earlier, at turn 2.

I followed and watched Erik try to pass Marty and was right behind looking for the mistake by them. Luckily for me they touched into turn 1 handing me 1st :peace: Marty was pushed way back and Erik was 3rd. I defended Erik and Mark Guy (who had caught up again) and the fast appoaching Antony Martin who had started last. Erik passed me a few laps later down the hill and I tried to take him back but didnt want to take him out.

4 laps later Antony got me in the same place. Then a few corners later at turn 1 I went wide and Mark got passed. I was sitting in 4th and was happy with my position when I saw Mark have some de ja vu when he locked up again at turn 5 and ran wide. I was up to 3rd again. Suddenly I got the "your tyres our getting worn" message and I really struggled for grip and was 2 seconds a lap slower than usual. Mark and Herwin Ploeg in the Honda's were right up behind me so I decided to pit early with my ruined tyres.

I had to have an extra long stop to change my 4 tyres and it made me 15 seconds behind Herwin and Mark again. I rejoined in 9th behind Peter Madsen and Jacek Kozlowski. Jacek soon pitted handing me 8th and I colosed right in on Peter. Unforutnately I was looking behind me when he turned to defend his position. I turned round and I slammed the brakes but it was too late, he spun :sorry: I was 5th after everyone had pitted and was trying to close in on Herwin but we were too similar in pace and I decided to paly it safe throught the back markers because I had a 40 seconds advantage to Senior Junior (Christophe :D) and his battle.

I finished 5th and was very happy! :bananamario:

Thank you Simon for organising such an event and congrats to Erik ftw! Very clean racing from everyone I was with and hope for some for STCC races soon.

Qualifying: I love super pole, left it later in the session to go out and was looking for a high 1.01 to get top 10. But beat that with a 1.01.2 to put me 2nd with just Sander to go so I had 3rd obviously.

Break
I can't do a race report without mentioning the terrible start with 8 or so cars involved in 2 incidents. I particularly resent being blamed for taking Gary out at turn 1, Gary I'm sure knows there is no way I'd do that. The fact is Ryan without you turning in on my rear end at worst that would of happened is me & Gary would of had a side to side impact which would not of sent Gary off, instead you prevented me from turning in which meant I gave a bigger push into Gary's side pushing him off.
The second incident was caused by Terry braking unusually early and catching a few people out and the everyone behind instead of being patient trying to push through. Those involved in this incident I hope will have learnt lessons.

The final note is there is a bug that if anyone joins in the last 10 seconds of the countdown they are automatically given 1st place and anyone in front of them on the grid who doesn't or can't let them through will be given a stop & go for ignoring blue flags. Unfortunately Ryan you joined in those last seconds and just before I could let you through to prevent the penalty I got a stop & go.
Please please from now on join the grid as early as possible!

Race
3rd on the grid, right behind Peter & Sander who got an awful start but stopped me from passing into T1. *cue T1 incident*.
Then I tried to let Ryan pass to prevent a penalty but was too late so had to do my stop & go at the end of that lap putting me almost last.
So spent the rest of my race fighting back up, Terry & Nigel seemed to be having a good fight
I had terrible heat issues with the front tyres reaching 126c at one point, obviously still some setup work to do. They 2nd stint tyres lasted much better but couldn't get any higher than 10th.
Gutted about the bug, as I could of had a great race.
