Name: Davie Crocket
.... TBH is this not a bit of a useless field since we all go by our real names at RD anyhow (bar the odd new sign up)?
Car: TBC

Have an idea of my ride but need to test it out, never driven Vara or Pau either ... and don't know Macau at all well ... oh dear, what am I doing, think Mr Bacon's recent loss of sanity is rubbing off on me

Still 2 street circuits out of 5 isn't a bad ratio eh

Am gonna grab a Cupra GT ... done one lap in it at 2:45am this morning and crashed at the end of that, found it very bouncy but hopefully with a bit more damper or something I can cure that pogo feeling a bit ... ??

Might be late into practice I am afraid, and might switch to the 06 or 07 Leon if that is ok when I prove useless in the Cupra GT (and will be fun to give Simon and Grant a run for their money )

Ive sampled the delights of the Mini+Cadwell combo before, this could well be the best mini enduro night to date!.
I would like to use that Vodafone silver McLaren style skin i saw about here somewheres??(did i,or was it another one of my "visions"?),cant remember who made it and who was using it though :( ,can anyone link me?).

Cheers

its Gary Pullens skin, see server 2 number 15 http://forum.racedepartment.com/clu...-@-laguna-seca-friday-3rd-october-2008-a.html

I forgot to add commiserations to all the guys who suffered drop outs tonight for their various reasons,Karl showing excellent pace the magical Marcos!!.
I've tried almost all of the different cars, there's not much to separate them. I tend to go for the car for which I can get a setup to work, for this race it happened to be the Marcos.

I think I'll use the Marcos again in future races, but before I do I'll give one of the others a try. The Marcos is a very forgiving car with progressive and predictive handling traits, you should all give it a go!

I was very sad that I had to abandon the race with only 17 minutes left on the clock, but what to do - when the Mrs calls on you...

As I said before, I had a great evening. I'm looking forward to the next event (hopefully it's at a better time... )
:)
Kind regards,
Karl

Dowloaded that link, and its one 1.35mb file, doesnt seem to have any extension,i was expecting the usual folder with more than one file,do i just drop this thing in the Custom Skins folder and it works? :s .

nope... it's got a .zip extension for me... if it's missing, tag one on and all should be dandy... should be able to extract it as normal....

More confused now :becky:

I got a .rar and extracted the contents no problem, its just the contents are not what i expected according to other custom skins i have, which usually come in a folder with mainly .dds files, this is just one little scabby lonely file that doesnt even have an extension as far as i can tell.

Footnote: Personally i cant see these home computer things really catching on.

yea, i got some weirdness in my 7zip extract too... you should just be able to drill down though... double click the scabby file and see where it leads, alice :D

edit: ah ha! i've seen this with some other stuff i've grabbed... it's like it's the skin, in an unknown zip format, in a zip file... but luckily 7z understands whatever this "zip" in the zip is and can break on through....

Special remarks: I´m not sure if I can race, too late on my local time, and I have to wake up 6:00 am everyday. I will be on the reserve list. I´ll do my best to race.
