Forgive my ignorance, but is the patch supposed to allow us to change gearing?

yes since you cannot adjust the transmission gearing like in all other SIMBIN cars you have 4 final drive ratios for the ring / pinion gear in the rear axle.

Well I should say it appears everyone has em but me..............

I noticed when I downloaded the "super patch" that it did not contain the SVM setup files.

Now I am really baffled since I cannot find the "gearing Patch" now inthe downloads section.

Eric i downloaded the mod at no grip ,they have a later version that includes the patch,if that any help

Ok, this is what I did. Might be backwards but it worked for me.
I went to NoGrip where they have a version that includes the patch. There is a zip within the zip called Default_Setups.7z that unzips in the Steam/Steamapps/username/Race07 folder.
I unzipped that file to MyDocuments/Simbin/Race07 folder.
It created a FVR8_09_Setups folder with the SVM files inside.
I then moved those files - not the folder- to the Mallala car setups folder.
That worked for me. Hope this helps.

Your path for the svm files is correct,i don't want to tell you how to suck eggs but you open the file as far as it would go ,select all,copy,then paste into your track file.it should be working for you.

Today I found a skin I must have started on a while back (totally forgot I did this ... alzheimers again ) so quickly finished and upped it ...

The volvo C30 is allowed. Even I've beaten the Volvo,

also

I've tried it out and actually I was 1 tenth slower than with the Chevy. It was very good to drive though

sry guys, won't be in this race. I just can't get my WinRar thing to work properly. Since my cpu crashed i havn't had so much time for racing, but tomorrow i will fix everything that have to do with Race On and all that stuff. Hopefully everything will work by tomorrow.
